Mercia School offers more than first class teaching and learning; we strive to offer an enriching experience for everyone. Every single pupil enjoys a wide variety of activities and are encouraged to participate fully in all facets of Mercia School life. We totally committed to delivering a first class experience to every single pupil, regardless of their background or additional needs.

  • The Arts: Celebrating Music, Drama and Art through concerts and showcases
  • Sport: We believe in competition and all pupils are expected to participate in school sport
  • School Charities: Throughout the year, pupils have opportunities to fundraise for a range of charities
  • Academia: We offer high academic challenge to all pupils, regardless of ability
  • The House System: The lynchpin for pastoral support at Mercia School
  • Family Lunch: Our pupils and teachers enjoying lunch every day
  • Our Enrichment Curriculum: Further insight into the electives programme
  • Duke of Edinburgh: all pupils will complete at least the Certificate of Achievement, with many going on to Bronze and Silver Awards
  • Pupil Voice and Leadership: elections are held annually, with councillors heavily involved with improving school life. Prefects and House Captains: new for 2021, appointment to these positions will help widen our pupil leadership capacity
